TIM FARMER
Host and Producer

Tim Farmer has been on the airwaves for over 28+ years, entertaining audiences with his journeys across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  The 5-time Emmy award winning host and executive producer hosted and produced 'Kentucky Afield' for over 20 years.  After 20 wonderful years with

the tv show, and almost 30 years with the Department,  he announced his retirement from the Department of Fish and Wildlife December 2015.

“Tim Farmer’s Country Kitchen” is in its 11th season and has already been nominated for an Emmy. The show has recently gone national on NETA. This show about cooking, farming, canning, gardening and smoking and preparing meats, has risen to the top of KET’s most popular shows.

Tim has a never give up attitude that has driven him to be an award winning archer, despite losing the use of his right arm as a young Marine in a devastating motorcycle accident.  He uses his mouth to shoot a 70 lb bow in pursuit of large game across the continent.

Tim started cooking at an early age, and incorporated many wild game recipes into 'Kentucky Afield.' Tim was inspired and mentored by French Chef Raoul Dezprez, who befriended Tim in the late 1980's, and showed him many trade secrets.

NICKI FARMER

Nicki has been cooking since she was a youngster, watching her grandma cook in her grandfather's restaurant. She brings a lifetime of recipes, and is Tim's right hand. Literally! She is Tim's sidekick in life, and on the

Co-Host

farm. She originally did not want to be on the show and Tim would find excuses to get her on camera. Eventually she gave in and became co-host of Tim Farmer's Country Kitchen!
